    Two Free Series of Yoga classes for people with MS

    8 Tuesdays: May 20 - July 8, 2014

    Gentle Yoga MS

    10:00 - 11:15 am

    For those who can stand unassisted and get down on the floor and back up with minimal assistance. This class will explore basic yoga poses with modification for individual abilities, as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. This practice helps improve posture, body awareness, range of motion, balance, strength and stability.


    Seated Yoga MS

    11:30 am - 12:45 pm

    For those using a wheelchair, walker, cane or any other adaptive device. The practice consists of simple, seated, movement and breathing techniques to improve body awareness and range of motion, increase energy and reduce stress.

    Classes will be held at the MS Society, 3530 Pan American Fwy NE, Suite F.

    Please wear clothing that allows freedom of movement. If you have a yoga mat or any props, please bring them; loaner yoga mats available.

    Students may switch back and forth between the two classes as needed.
