  • Arm cycling - cardiovascular

Hi, I wondering about using equipment for 'arm cycling' (cardiovascular)that sits on a table. Does anyone have recommendations as to manufacturers? Thanks, Kathy

Hey Kathy, I've tried using that equipment, and while it was okay, I'm not sure I can recommend it. It is even more boring than it looks, and to really get into your cardio zone you'll have to do it longer than the time it takes for you to think, Wow, this is boring, which happens after about minute two or three. Just my opinion. Others may have some better insight.

That said, the arm ergometers at gyms are much better, you can crank much harder, and they don't clog up your kitchen table. I can spin those for 30 minutes.

Instead of a device, I would do seated cardio using exercise videos and modifying them to your capabilities. Running, punching, jumping jacks, etc., mix it up.
