  • Trick folding trike that fits in a suitcase

I'm eying one of these trikes as my next big purchase. I've been itching to get back out on the bike trail and I'll need a trike. But the problem with most trikes? They are huge and won't fit into our tiny crossover. I'd rather not buy a bike that costs over $30K (bike + pickup).

This one, designed by Evolve Trikes out of Australia (http://evolvetrikes.com/index.html), folds super compactly and is not too heavy for a three wheeler (36 lbs; many are 50+ lbs).

My only debate: my legs last only so long. My arms can go a lot longer, so an arm cycle might take me farther. But I need to keep working out my legs, so I'm leaning toward foot powered. If I could rent or borrow a trike in ABQ, that would make the decision easier....

And here is another small trike (same pricey $3K range) that folds. Not as small, but there is a dealer in ABQ....

      Hi Dave,

What about an electic trike. A couple of years ago, someone posted about this company. I've been eyeing the electric trike ever since.

If winter ever ends, I'll be back to seeing if it cold work.

      As usual, keep us posted.
