im so confused and overwhelmed, any advice on buying a wheelchair accesible van??

There are certainly a lot of options these days. It might matter where you are located but if you can swing it it would be a good idea to rent before you buy. Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler and Honda all have vans with wheelchair conversion capability.

This company is in California but list locations in Oregon, Arizona and Florida.

Do you want to drive it too???

Decide if you want a wheelchair assessable car that allows you to be in driver seat. I had a 1 on 1 occupational driving therapist that was certified to evaluate my capabilities and make recommendations. My PT found the place for me. After completing the evaluation I felt more confident in my driving abilities as I recovered from a significant MS attack.
Here is info from the Christopher Reeve Foundation on adaptive driving and vehicles:

      Best of luck!
