UNM Adapted Sports Festival
Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9am-3pm at the Jewish Community Center.
The UNM Adapted Sports Festival's primary focus is to promote physical activity and sports for people with any disability, injury or illness; raise awareness of disability sports and physical activity in Bernalillo County, and provide service-learning opportunities to students to learn how to create and adapt programs for people with disabilities.
The festival is a day when members from our community (adults and children) with a disability, injury or illness can try a variety of adapted sports programs such as cycling, goalball, martial arts, sitting volleyball, adapted kayaking, adapted scuba diving, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis and more!
