      Don't know if there is any info on the below link that would be useful for the HighLine Canal project, but it is about the trail north of me that I so enjoy. MSRunner26 also uses it. Dutchess Rail Trail is a multi-use, ADA trail that is 10 feet wide and in some sections has a parallel soft surface. Definitely in an urban area, and very wide, but I don't feel that nature has been disturbed. Yeah, it may look like a mini highway, but certainly makes it very comfortable for all to use without feeling as if you may mow down someone. I've also been on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail that is shown here which is a more traditional rail trail for this area...not quite as wide....

        We moved from Albuquerque to Corrales five months ago. I am in the process of putting together a home gym for those days that I don't feel like dodging cars and loose dogs. The ditch banks are ok for walking occasionally but get boring if used daily.
