The National MS Society, New Jersey Metro Chapter is making this information available to you about this wellness opportunity offered by a community partner but did not have a role in developing this program.

CentraStrides for MS represents a collaborative effort between CentraState Healthcare System’s Linda E. Cardinale Multiple Sclerosis Center (www.centrastate.com) in Freehold, NJ and Special Strides, Inc., in Monroe, NJ (www.specialstrides.com). This recreational horsemanship program focuses on the emotional benefits that arise from the unique relationship a rider develops with a horse, the rhythmic, and repetitive movement of the horse, which has been shown to positively impact the rider’s balance, posture, coordination, and muscle strength.

For more information, please contact Ruth Memoli, MS Wellness Coordinator at 732-637-6334 or rmemoli@centrastate.com.

This program is free to participants made possible by a grant from Kessler Foundation East Hanover, NJ (www.KesslerFoundation.org).
