  • Hello to new friends

    Hi,
I was diagnosed about six year ago. My main problem is a very uncooperative left leg! PT helped some but I'm never sure if the MS caused the problem or if a riding accident a couple of years later did it. The doctors can't decide so meanwhile I continue to have walking problems. I feel lucky though as I can ride my horses and drive them in a cross-country type carriage for even more excitement! It could be so much worse but I really would enjoy being able to walk better - any suggestions? Do Nordic poles help?
    Cheers,
    Pat

Hey Pat, I just posted in the gear section about Nordic poles. I think you'd be better off with trekking poles. I explain the differences here:

I still look funny walking with trekking poles (my right leg gets ornery), but they help a ton, especially when going over uneven terrain.

      Poles

Thanks, Dave. I wasn't even aware of the different types of poles! That is excellent information.
