  • Anyone tried the "Kickstart Kinetic Device" to restore mobility?

The article below is a report of someone with progressive MS (Lisa Curtis), who went through a stem cell treatment in 2010 - progression has stopped, she is slowly recovering function - but still has mobility problems. She was fitted with a "Kickstart Kinetic Device" last week and goes from taking very small steps, to taking longer steps.

Has anyone else tried this device, or seen it in use?

I spoke with the company-good customer service. It's not available in Canada yet. Soon, though. The company said they'd had lots of requests for info from the MS community. I told him there should be videos on the site of MS'ers-it's all stroke recoverers.

This is way cool, Gary. Hopefully it will catch on. And I'm glad Lisa's MS is behaving. She was transplanted at Northwestern under the care of Dr. Burt.
