  • What do you know about "MS Gym"?

I need structure (and a buddy if you're in San Diego!) when it comes to exercise. I am lazy.

I watched a video the other week by Trevor Wicken about stretching out my calves and that is how I found "MS Gym" and the "RISE movement". I'm leary. I'm not trying to badmouth anyone or what he says, so please don't take it that way. I just don't want to be taken advantage of because I have MS and he has something to sell.

My problem is I'm trying to understand if he's legit. There is a free Facebook group available, which is not overly useful to me. There is a paid membership that seems useful, but you can't get in to see what it's like without at least paying for a 1 month membership.

I am really interested in your thoughts and experiences with this site and / or Trevor himself.

    Thank you! g1

There are two exercise video programs specifically for MSers: MS Gym and MS Workouts. Both are $30 or more a month. I haven't reviewed either in any detail, but they both have avid fans.

Might want to check out both:

Personally, my Planet Fitness monthly pass is $10 and gives me access to lots of equipment and is only a mile away. Might not be my fave gym, but it works for me when I go. For exercise videos, you also might want to check out Jessica Smith's videos on YouTube. They are free. I just modify them to work for my disability.

I was thinking about just using the videos available on YouTube as well. I feel like he's always trying to sell me something a cure and not an exercise program, when he's not an MSer. It feels a little slimy for me.

            Adie,
While I appreciate your effort on this post. That information is readily available on his website and his marketing.

It sounds great on the surface, but what I see is he's all about marketing and wanting me to buy into his expensive program.
