  • Month 10 milestones

    While this past month wasn't the watershed that was Month 9, it was still pretty darned good. I ended up going on a 1.6 mile hike (with my forearm crutches), but I could have gone longer and easily hit two miles, but we had to go home and I missed setting a new high.

    During one of my walking workouts, I exercised (walked on tippy toes, heels, sideways, up hills, backward, etc.) for 45 minutes straight, a new high by nearly 15 minutes. On the exercise bike I put in 40 straight minutes of cycling. And I can shoot hoops, although my jumper is more of a "stander."

    The coolest thing happened just two days ago. I danced for 15 minutes straight and I looked normal.* But one time I stepped on my feet and almost fell, which likely would have meant another broken leg. But I caught myself thank goodness.

    *Normal dancing for me is utterly terrible. I could never dance. So I now have that same terrible ability once again!
