This past Friday, the last day of my week-long Houston testing for my 2-year mark, I received a lumbar puncture to give the researchers a bit more data as to what is going on in my body post transplant. In other words, for research, not for health. Naturally two snafus happened. First the doc pricked herself with the needle used to numb my back (she asked me for a blood sample for testing after the procedure), and then the following day a headache started creeping on. It lasted until this morning (it's mostly gone), so I've been laying pretty low the last few days. Doh.
This is my third spinal tap but the first that has given me any trouble. Nothing like having to worry about a roaring headache right before my trip to France. Eek!
