How crazy or mellow is your MS? If you know your EDSS score over the years, you can use this calculator on MSBase to see how your disease progression compares with thousands of others around the world. At year 3-4, I was 95% gimpier than my MS friends at that same stage! Yikes, that is hella crazy fast. Thankfully my MS is a bit more mellow now—my disability is a strange bell curve—but even so I'm still well above average at over 80% (I'm such the over-achiever, sigh).
Percentiles rank the position of an individual by indicating what percent of the reference score the individual would equal or exceed.
To compute the rank of an MS patient compared to MSBase patients with similar characteristics, first select the MS course of the patient (CIS/RR onset or Progressive onset) then enter the EDSS scores at various MS durations.
