    We are finding out that people with MS are more likely to suffer from a vitamin D deficiency. This study related that to the prevalence of poor bone health in people with MS. What I found particularly interesting here was that in addition to diet modification and drugs, the study advocates weight bearing activities as an important step in controlling at least this one aspect of MS, and that this may be of particular importance to the newly diagnosed

    Unfortunately for me, cycling does not fall into the category of a weight bearing activity. Walking, running, hiking, stair climbing and weight lifting do.
