Just saw this on everyday health. Had to share. Story of Eleanor Pendergraft, diagnosed with myasthenia gravis in 1974 (put her children in foster care anticipating a tough road to death 5 years later), diagnosed with MS in 1986 by which point was in a wheelchair, took up exercise in 2008, entered district senior games in 2009, then state senior games in 2010, qualified for national senior games in 2011. Than ran a half marathon. Then national senior games 2013 and 2015. And will be in national senior games this year in Alabama. She will be 82.
Exercise worked for Eleanor. I just set a goal of being in the national senior games when I am 82!
