Adaptive Yoga for MS Launches Jan. 13 in Albuquerque
Yoga is an excellent form of exercise for people with MS because it involves stretching and range of motion exercises for the whole body, which can reduce symptoms such as muscle spasticity, muscle weakness, problems with balance and fatigue. This class offers a balanced approach for strength and flexibility, breath work and deep relaxation. It will use chairs and other props. Students are welcome to practice the entire class in a chair, or do some seated and some standing as appropriate.
The class is offered in 8-week sessions. Free parking, building is fully accessible. A $5 donation is suggested to participate.
