UNM Physical Therapy Neuro Pro Bono Opportunity
OUR GOALS:
1) Provide high quality physical therapy services for the underserved populations of New Mexico, aimed at improving function and quality of life.
2) Empowering patients to take charge of their health.
3) Offer hands-on learning opportunities for doctor of physical therapy students under the supervision of board-certified physical therapists who hold their NSC (Neurological Specialization Certification).

Who: Patients with neurological conditions who would benefit from ongoing PT services.*
What: Skilled physical therapy evaluation, safe movement, and mutual education between
patients, students, and clinicians.
Where: UNM Domenici Northwest. 1001 Standford Drive NE, ABQ, NM 87131
When: Thursday Evenings, September—April.
Why: Movement to improve function!
Last year, many neuro appointments went unused. We want to serve New Mexico and see patients.
* Eligibility criteria: Have an official diagnosis from physician (no referral required), Not reliant on hydraulic lift systems to walk or move onto a treatment mat.
Preference will be given to patients with insurance restrictions or limitations, but this is not a requirement.
