Atlanta TAKE CHARGE® Program Application Opens Tuesday, May 30
Join us in Atlanta, GA, August 4 - 6, for our two-day TAKE CHARGE Program. The online application will be available at www.mscando.org/TAKECHARGE
on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 12pm ET.
In partnership with the Andrew C. Carlos MS Institute at Shepherd Center, TAKE CHARGE will provide you with the individualized skills and tools you need to take charge of your health and life with MS. Program topics will include fatigue, exercise, mood and cognition, nutrition, bladder management, and much more!
Program Requirements
If you are interested in attending the TAKE CHARGE Program, please note the following requirements before applying:
• This program provides resources and workshops for people living with MS and their support partners. A support partner can be a spouse, friend, sibling, or child who is over the age of 18-years-old. We strongly recommend that a support partner attend this program with the person living with MS, as closed-door sessions will be offered specifically for support partners and there is no personal assistance available at the program.
• Verify that you are able to travel on August 4 - 6, 2017. You must be present for the duration of the entire program.
• You and your support partner are responsible for your own travel expenses to and from Atlanta, GA.
Application Process and Registration Fee
Applications will be accepted online starting May 30. Apply early, as this program fills quickly! There is a $100 registration fee per accepted person and support partner, which includes all group meals, hotel lodging, lectures, and workshops for the weekend.
Applicants will be notified within one month if they are accepted into the program after submitting their completed application. Once the program has filled, you will be automatically added to the waitlist and will be contacted if a spot opens up.
Visit www.mscando.org/TAKECHARGE on Tuesday, May 30, to apply.
Note: Applying for this program does NOT mean you are automatically accepted into the program or into future programs. Participants are accepted based on a lottery drawing pending review and approval by the Application Committee.
