Footup device for knee high rubber boots

Plan on doing some fishing this year. Some of the fishing spots are a bit of a hike through mud so going to wear boots and have my trekking poles, and move along slowly. I wear an Ossur foot up device now, but I don't think that will work on a high rubber boot. Anybody have a suggestion? Looking at a backpack for my trail stool and pole, if you have suggestions on a fishing backpack that would be welcome as well.

I would use a molded orthodic that goes under the foot and up the back of the leg, strapping in place around the shin.
