  • Phase change hats and headbands

    Hello everyone,

I have been using a Techniche Techkewl neckband as a headband and while it works well I am looking for a product that lasts longer than 30 minutes.

Are there any phase change products out there that fit under a ball cap?

Recently I saw a neckband by black ice cooling that looks promising.

Bguy, here's a hat liner from First Line Technology. Note, ActiveMSers should be able to get a discount using the code in the members only area. Should last a few hours, but note, it won't feel cold as it absorbs heat.

Thanks for the suggestion. Is this more effective than those hats you soak and freeze?

Bguy, the two work very differently. When I put the liner in my bike helmet, it is barely softened after a couple of hours, which means there is still heat absorption power remaining. The evaporative gear usually loses its cooling (at least out here in dry New Mexico) in under 30 minutes.
