New device makes wheelchairs obsolete?

The Tek Robotic Mobilization Device (Tek RMD) has been getting buzz in the MS community recently. The videos of how it works are pretty cool and it only takes up 1/3 the space of a wheelchair. It's weight limit is 200 lbs, it can go 8 miles on a charge, and goes about 2 mph. Cost: about $15,000, or about three times the cost of a high-end wheelchair. They just started going on sale at the end of March.

Looks cool. My bigest concern would have to be I did not see it go over any uneven terain or door thresholds. Looks a little low to me. How heavy is it? I don't think it will fit in the trunk of a car. I would love to take it for a spin though.
