  • Ears Ringing a Sign of MS?

    Hey Friends,

Lately, my right ear often sounds like it's plugged or starts ringing then can't hear as well for quite a while afterwards. Is this a common sign of MS? I've mentioned it to two different MS specialists and one said it can be a sign and the other said it isn't. Is this just something weird my body is going through lately or do some of you struggle with it as well?

If it is an MS symptom I don't think it's a common one. I've found that I frequently have better luck getting action on things that may or may not be MS related from my PCP. He is easier to get in to see too.

One of the lingering "issues" I have had since my first major exacerbation in 2010 is tinnitus. A lot of things can cause tinnitus but I have always thought it was connected to my exacerbation.

After a couple of hearing tests which showed no hearing loss, I stopped worrying about it. It can be pretty annoying at times, and I've had to come up with a few tricks to cope with it.

I never had tinnitus until my first major exacerbation. I had it every time the barometric pressure was low for about 8 months. I haven't had it in about 4 months, regardless of weather. Coincidence? Perhaps but I attribute it to my MS.

I have a constant ringing in my left ear. It came on suddenly at the same time as my frequent gravity storms (falling)
