Thanks for the video and presentation. I think researchers are starting to understand why progression happens and hopefully this will lead to treatments.

From what I've read, with the loss of the myelin sheath the neuron tries to compensate by increasing energy demand to maintain signal conduction. This ultimately leads the neuron to burn itself out which is when disability become prominent in the disease.
