Hi All,
I've not been on here for a little while, but I have been reading up on everybody's training progress.
I thought you all might like to know about the noises that are being made in the UK (and across Europe) about treating MSers, especially RRMSers.
It appears that there may be a total overhaul of the 'wait & see' attitude that has always pervaded MS disease 'management' on the horizon!
The Time = Brain mantra that governs the treatment of stroke is now being adopted and proposed by European advocacy groups & professional associations in the treatment of MS.
Please have a read here https://www.mstrust.org.uk/news/ms-t...r-treatment-ms
This may mean that for us UK-based MSers, we might actually have active monitoring of our disease regardless of of disease progression.
We may be encouraged to choose immunomodulatory DMTs in the absence of clinical symptoms/relapses in order to target the endpoint of no evidence of disease activity, rather than no evidence of relapse.
To me, this represents massive progress, and the opportunity to start active monitoring (and therapy) is potentially life-changing.
More reading (including the full report) is here: http://msbrainhealth.org/report
I am excited!!
