Hi there! I am employed at an oil company based here in the US for 3 years now and planning to immigrate to Canada. Does anyone here might be able to help me with that?

The Canadian oil & gas sector, mainly in Alberta is in recession right now and the layoffs are continuing at record pace. The boom is over and the days of 50 bucks an hour driving water truck are done. Do you already have something lined up? Already have work permit/visa? Ready for Canadian winter in remote areas? Sorry to be a downer.
