Over the last month I have developed a constant, ever-changing strange false smell and taste. One day it may be engine oil, the next it may be malt (which is better). For the last few days it has been burnt toast. It is an extremely strong taste and smell, and impossible to ignore. Chewing gum suppresses it only for a few seconds. I am sure this is an MS symptom, but not a common one. Does anyone else share this symptom? Has anyone managed to find a way of combatting it? Obviously it's not as bad as many symptoms - more of an annoyance than a issue. But it is a constant reminder that I don't need, and I am really starting to hate the smell and taste of burnt toast!
