Hi, I'm Swiss (diagnosed with MS since 2001) doing a motor bike tour (w/side car&reverse gear - needed!) this spring/summer on my own. On my tour through many states of USA I'd be pleased to meet some of you, to socialize and exchange experiences. Perhaps somebody would even accompany me for a stretch ... Tour starts in Jacksonville, Florida, mid-April; thentatively: riding down to the keys&back north along gulf (Pensacola 28-30 april fixed); coastline of Alabama&Louisiana in beginning of May; South of Texas in May (Austin, Marfa, Big Bend Ntl. Pk.); New Mexico&Colorado Plateau in June.... depending on my stamina from there to San Francisco directly or along the Rockies perhaps as far as Glacier Ntl. Park (crossing Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon); sure target: San Francisco sometimes in July.. I'd be very happy to get some contacts of the MS people/society along this route to call/mail when I'm in the region!

Of course, come to Albuquerque!
Hooray! what a tour of the states!
Since you're here at Activemsers, you must come to ABQ to meet the one and only Dave Bexfield -- of course, we'll have to make sure that he and Laura are on the same continent as you! They're hard to keep up with! Come see us!

Lorenz, Thursday afternoon works for me. But maybe Wednesday. I'll explain. The last train heads back to SF rather early, 6:42 pm from downtown ABQ. So we could get together for drinks and/or early dinner or for a bit more if more touring is in order. You can hit me up via e-mail to make the full plan: dave@activeMSers.org.
Why maybe Wednesday? If for some reason you are an absolute telephone fan, there is a quirky little museum downtown that I have not been to, but it is only open M-W-F until 2 pm. Really.

Lorenz, it was great to share a beer with you! I am very jealous of your travels so far and your upcoming adventures. And your history with MS is fascinating as well. Perhaps on my next trip to Switzerland we can enjoy another pint or two.
If anyone reading this is considering meeting up with Lorenz on his way to San Fran but was hesitant (what if he is a serial killer who stashes bodies in his sidecar?) don't be. He's super nice.Dave Bexfield
