  • MS and Adult Scoliosis

OK, I'm venting - Having one chronic condition is not good; having two is interesting. Are my walking problems and back pain due to the MS or the scoliosis? In the past, at times my orthopedic doctor and my neurologist were on the same page, other times they'd conflict. I think that I have finally found an orthopedic doctor and a neurologist that communicate with each other. Does anyone else have both conditions? What type of exercises have you been doing?

Good venting question, EveD. I know that MS can cause walking issues and pain and I imagine scoliosis can do both as well. How to tell which is doing what... no clue. You may also want to try posting this in the forum at MSWorld as it gets the most traffic on health topics and your question is pretty specific. As for exercises, I recommend finding a good PT--they can be godsends. Good luck!

Good deal Eve. Please let us know if you get any answers. I imagine most of us are as puzzled as you.
