The Wahls Protocol details the good and bad when it comes to cooking with oils. I have switched over to coconut oil when cooking, as it is one of the only oils (including Olive Oil) that will not break down (denature) when heated. Her recommendation is use olive oil, unheated, in your salad.

Dear Georgia peach, well as someone who is from south india and who eats a great deal of cononut oil (and surely my ancestors have been eating it for 100s of years!).. I can't think of any particular benefit to MS from it. Yes it's tasty (but it takes some getting used to) and healthy (so I hear) so by all means try it, but not guaranteeing any benefit from it!

Hey Peach, you'll get more feedback in the General forum, but this question might be best for thisisms or msworld. I have not heard of any benefit from coconut oil other than it makes your popcorn taste delicious.
