  • Recommended Lyme disease books (Chapt 20)

To get a better understanding of Lyme disease, I turned to recommended books to get a better understanding of the disease. Along with Mr. Douthat’s The Deep Places I purchased Conquering Lyme Disease: Science Bridges the Great Divide by Brian A. Fallon, MD and Jennifer Sotsky, MD and the award-winning book Cure Unknown: Inside the Lyme Epidemic by Pamela Weintraub. All were extremely helpful, with Fallon’s being the most insightful into neurological Lyme.

    Great list, Dave.

Off topic question for you.....do you ever get a fever? I know, strange question. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Dr. Bill Rawls (www. RahlsMD.com). Anyway, he had/has Lyme. He once said that because Lyme suppresses the immune system those with chronic/late Lyme disease often don't get fevers. This came back to me quite recently. I am coming off of day 5 of COVID. Surprisingly, I faired quite well while my extremely healthy husband suffered greatly. He had fever, chills, etc. I felt like I was suffering from a mild cold. No fever. None. I never get fevers.

Just, yet another, thought to get your mind working....
