Fayetteville Pilates and Barre
Whole Foods Shopping Center
Fayetteville, AR 72703
This beginner-friendly class will focus on balance, posture, core stability, and gait as it pertains to managing common MS symptoms. Most of the exercises will be performed on a floor mat or in a chair, and any standing exercises can be easily modified to a seated posture.
Pilates is a natural fit for MS clients for several reasons:
Slow movements help to keep the core body temperature low
Pilates aims to work muscles to help ease spasticity
Detailed cuing keeps clients focused and engaged, helping the brain create new neuromuscular pathways around dysfunction created by demyelination
Breathing exercises help with pain management, digestion, circulation, and anxiety
